How To Apply Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP) in Singapore
Hola!
I haven't info yet, but yeah me and my husband were back to Singapore !!! Couldn't be more happier. 😊😊😊 Since I really like to live here 😊😊😊 After I back at Singapore, I need to apply for Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP) so that I can stay longer at Singapore. FYI, my husband is Malaysian citizen but he is also a Singapore Permanent Resident (PR) holder. I'm going to explain my story about how to apply LTVP, so its going to be a long story. 😌 And the requirement is back on 2017. There maybe some changes now.
Not like at Malaysia, to apply for LTVP, you must do it ONLINE and your spouse need to have Singpass account. ICA (Immigration & Checkpoints Authority) Singapore will not entertain if you come directly to their office. Once the application approved, then only you and your spouse need to come together to ICA building and bring along the necessary documents such as marriage certificate, passport, etc (term and conditions apply).
* You can check the information and requirements needed to apply for LTVP (if your spouse is Singapore PR) here
* During submitting document online, the website will ask whether you want to apply for longer visa (I come using tourist visa which valid for 30 days) while waiting for your LTVP. The processing time for the visa will take time around 4-6 weeks.
What I like about Singapore is they give complete information even on their website! If you still have any questions, you may call their hotline and the people are really HELPFUL 😂 Thumbs up for that!! 👍👍👏👏👏
* You need to pay $30 at the time of submission of the application, and the fee is non refundable. Once the visa approved, you'll need to make payment via e-VP for the issuance of Multiple Journey Visa ($30), if visa is required, and Long-Term Visit Pass ($60).
UPDATE 8th MAY 2017 :
* Before ICA approved your LTVP, they can also ask you to come to ICA office to bring the necessary documents such as marriage certificate, passport, etc.
* For my case, on 8th May 2017, ICA e-mail me and my husband that they're considering my LTVP and they're inviting me and my husband to come and bring some documents. The documents required were listed on the ICA website (you need to go the ICA website and key in your passport number/your spouse IC 1st then there ICA will info you what to bring).
* You may change the date of the interview up to max 1 time only (you can do it online). During my case, they invite me to come to do interview on 11th May 2017. Since I'm not free that day, so we go to ICA website and change the date. There, the max date they give till 16th May 2017 only. Means they only gave you 3 working days to change the date.
UPDATE 16th MAY 2017 :
* I went to ICA today to submit documents (marriage certificate, etc). No interview. It took just around 10 minutes.
* The officer said that she couldn't say if my LTVP will be approve or not and she suggest me to keep check online thru ICA website to know the result.
* If my LTVP approved, me and my spouse need to COME TOGETHER to ICA to collect the pass.
* The officer remind me not to overstay at Singapore while waiting for the LTVP.
* Btw, the officer also never ask for my white immigration card.
UPDATE 17th MAY 2017 :
* At 12 midnight something (what a timing 😂), ICA e-mail me and my husband informed that my LTVP is approved! I need to make payment $90 thru online. I kinda impress because I just submitted the document the day before and within 11 hours, I can get the result 👍👍👍 I thought I will just check my status within the next 2-3 days lol. 😂😂
* ICA will ask me and my spouse to make appointment and come again to ICA to bring my copy passport and some other paper that they'll mention on the website.
* I thought I can get my LTVP within this week or latest next week, but I was wrong. The earliest slot available is 30th May 2017. I hope I can get my LTVP on that day.
UPDATE 30th MAY 2017 :
* Went to ICA this afternoon and I failed to get my LTVP! 😔😔 Today feel like the queue was so slowww. I already waiting for 45 minutes then only got my turn. At first, the officer said I need to queue (again) to do thumbprint and then waiting (again) around 1 hour and I will get my LTVP by today. Was soo happy.
* Then after I queue for another 30 minutes, another different officer said seems like I haven't do current medical test (Tuberculosis x-ray test and HIV test). According to his system, my last medical test I did was in 2014 (when I still worked at Singapore) and the validity for medical test was only 2 years. He said he going to check with his supervisor whether can used my old medical result or not. Ended up, his supervisor asked me to do another medical test and I failed to get my LTVP that day 😭😭😭
* My husband asked the officer why didn't inform earlier so I could do it before my appointment. The officer said the supervisor overlook my last medical result and he apologized on behalf of his supervisor. 😞😞😔😔
* The officer asked me to come back again either 1st or 2nd June 2017 to submit the medical result (medical result take time around 2 working days). Good things, I don't need to book any appointment (maybe since its their mistake) and my husband doesn't need to be present. So, on the date, I will just need to come to the front desk, get the queue number, submit my medical result, and queue again to get my LTVP.
* I initially went to one of medical clinic near ICA but too bad they didn't do the TB x-ray test and suggested me to do it at Raffles Hospital instead.
* I went there and paid for $48.15 and it took me just 35 minutes to complete both test. Seems like a lot of people were doing medical test there for ICA purpose.
UPDATE 1st JUNE 2017 :
* Went to Raffles Hospital to collect my medical result and after that went to ICA to submit back my document.
* I reach ICA around 3.20 PM and after queued, around 4 PM something, I gave my documents and after that I queued again. And after the officer called my number, I did the thumb print. After that she told me to wait again at counter 20. She assured me I can get my LTVP by today before their closing time (5 PM).
* Almost 5 PM there were still a lot of people around counter 20 that waiting for their pass. Finally the officer called my name and I passed my documents to them and the officer asked me to wait for them to call my number again and pass my passport.
* Around 5.15 PM, the officer called my number. I passed my passport and she made another thumb print and after that I finally got my LTVP. Thank God! 🙏🙏🙏
And now I'm officially and finally move to Singapore 😇😊😊😊
Hope my story can help to whomever want to apply LTVP at Singapore!

Hi,
ReplyDeleteMay I know how long have ur husband been working in Singapore? what is the range of income?
I am also going to apply for my wife but I am trying to get information. Thanks
Hi! Sorry just reply now. I very seldom open my blogspot. On 2017, my husband just worked 2 months with his new company. My husband has reasonable income, I guess its shouldn't be a problem as long as ICA think you can support your spouse with your salary. Hope it helps. :)
