How to apply Long Term Social Visit Pass (LTSVP) in Malaysia

Hola!

Finally I'm done applying Long Term Social Visit Pass (LTSVP) in Malaysia 🙏🙏. Other than get marry at Malaysia, this is also another long and tiring process 😔😔. I'm gonna explain the steps to you all.  FYI, I'm Indonesian and my husband is Malaysian. My husband is my sponsor for my LTSVP. Actually all of document required can get it from your nearest immigration. After you get it, you just need to fill in ALL the document inside.

FYI, although my husband address at Selangor. But we can do it at Immigration Jalan Duta.
Address :
Kompleks Kementerian Dalam Negeri (KDN), No. 69, Jalan Sri Hartamas 1, Jalan Duta, Wilayah Persekutuan, 50480 Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Note : Don't bother to call their hotline number, nobody answer.

Document required (based on the papers I got from immigration), as per OCTOBER 2016 :
1. Borang IMM. 55 (1 salinan)
2. Borang IMM. 12 (2 salinan)
3. Borang IMM. 38 (2 salinan)
4. Mykad suami/isteri (Asal dan 1 salinan)
5. *Sijil nikah luar negera (asal dan salinan)
6. Sijil nikah/daftar perkawinan di Malaysia (asal dan salinan)
7. * Sijil nikah/cerai/kematian (jika pernah berkahwin) - asal & salinan
8. Paspor Malaysia (suami/isteri - jika perkawinan luar negera)
9. Paspor pemohon warga asing (muka surat yang diendors)
10. Gambar berukuran paspor - suami & isteri (3 keping - latar belakang biru sahaja)
11. Gambar perkahwinan (1 keping)
12. Security bond (duti stem RM 10 + salinan kad pengenalan saksi w/n)
You need to get the duty stamp at nearest LHDN, price 10 RM. Took around 10 minutes only.
13. Surat akuan sumpah perkawinan
You can get this done at Commission of Oath (usually located at the same building). Price 4RM, only took around 5 minutes.
14. Borang termuduga VDR/maklumat tambahan
15. Bil utiliti (bukti tempat tinggal)
16. Salinan kontrak sewa rumah (jika menyewa) + salinan I/C pemilik rumah
17. Gambar hadapan beserta nomor rumah (bagi tujuan naziran)
18. Salinan penyata gaji dan bukti pendapatan @ penyata bank
* Jika berkenaan sahaja

So, those number that I cross means I don't need it. Some requirement seems new to me because I didn't see those at other people blogs when they apply the LTSVP, such as utility bill and your house picture.

1st Visit : FAILED!
WHY?
Our fault also we came late; above 11.30 PM, LOL!!! 😅😅😅 When we went there, the officer refused to give queue number because our document haven't complete yet. By the time we finish go here and there, the immigration closed for lunch, and only open again at 2 PM.

And at 2PM, after our document complete and the staff check, she asked us to come again TOMORROW! HA!!! Really frustrating. I don't know if the immigration normally don't want to issued queue number after lunch time or maybe because when we went (4/10/2016) its very packed because the day before (3/10/2016) was a public holiday? So yeahhh, we need to come again the other day. But since my husband can't take urgent leave, so we plan to come the next 3 days.

It will be much more better if you already get all the document needed (such as go to LHDN & Commission of Oath) done before you go to the immigration. This is for you to save the trouble & most important ; SAVE THE TIME. Because the staff won't give the queue number & will reject you if your application is not complete.

NOTE : Please come as early as possible to avoid disappointment. For my case, Immigration Jalan Duta open at 7.30 AM. If you come early, after you finish go here and there, hopefully you still can come back before 12 PM and can get the queue number.

2nd Visit : SUBMITTING DOCUMENT!

Okay. I went to Immigration on 7/10/16. Due to heavy rain and traffic jam, I reached immigration around 8.45 AM. Not like last time, the front desk staff didn’t even check my document. He straightaway gave me queue number 😅😅. I waited around 1 hour and finally get my turn.

The staff checked all my document and suddenly she asked about the house that we stayed. The house is under my husband name and she asked whether we bring the SPA (sales and purchase agreement) of the house? Like… SERIOUSLY?!!! Of course we said no! Its not stated on the list on what we should bring. Moreover, the utility bill already under my husband name, still not enough meh?!

She said sometimes we need to see the SPA document as a proof that the house is under my sponsor name. OMG! I’m really speechless. We’re just going to apply LTSVP not applying loan from bank 😞😑😑

The officer said she going to process the document and see whether we need to bring the SPA document or not. After we waiting for quite sometime, the officer said my document can be process and we didn’t need to bring the SPA document (THANK GOD!!).

But I have another problem. Due I still holding employment pass, (EP) the immigration asked me go to my company to cancel my EP, and apply special pass (my EP valid till 14th October 2016), and after that they can go ahead to process my LTSVP (you can see the steps from my previous blog).

3rd Visit : COLLECTION!
I went to Jalan Duta Immigration today 19/10/16, the flow was like this ;

- 7.45 AM : Reach. The officer gave me queuing number and advice me to go breakfast 1st and came back around 8.30 AM because usually its very slow 😅😅.

- 8.20 AM : They called my number. The officer said I need to wait till the cashier called my number 😑😑. OK lor.

- 8.50 AM :  Went to cashier to made payment. The cashier just asked me to photostat the receipt and after that gave back to the staff. After I made photostat, I went back to the cashier counter and she asked me went to another counter which has nobody there 😑😑 So after asked few staffs, I just wait till they called my number again.

- 10.10 AM : The officer called my name & I got my visa, YAY!! I got 1 year LTSVP. Actually I hope to get 2 years above visa but oh well, better than nothing. 1 year is good enough for me 😊😊

And I finally can relieved because everything done & settle now. Fiuh.

The document need to fill in :

    1. Hi, sorry for the late reply. Yes, I've been told that before (forgot who told me). But you still can try to ask the immigration officer. Good luck.
